The skid plate of the BMW R1250GS / R1250GSA includes light weight and complete protection for the engine and cases! Made from 8mm thick HDPE polyethylene plastic, the total weight is only 2.7kg, all included! In contrast to alloy and stainless steel, our innovative HDPE supports cut from the mass offer robust strength and flexibility to absorb shock and not deform. Polyethylene uniquely attenuates the noise caused by rocks or other debris hitting an alloy plate. Its flexibility absorbs heavy impacts and avoids sorting the sheet metal, facilitating its handling. This bashplate comes with a gray sticker, has been tested and approved after months of testing by BMW off-road professional instructors and drivers. We guarantee compatibility ONLY with OEM BMW crash bars and center stand. Any other crash bars or center stands may require some modifications which are not guaranteed by AXP Racing. This product is guaranteed against premature failure, however, since the skid plate is a consumable part, we do not support normal use.
