Harness the flexibility and intelligence of your BMW motorcycle's CAN bus electrical system to make accessory installation dramatically easier with the new and improved DENALI CANsmart™ Controller GEN II. The DENALI CANsmart™ Controller provides plug-n-play installation and integrated control of up to four accessories to enable dozens of customizable settings that can be controlled directly from the BMW “WonderWheel” or the CANsmart™ Accessories Manager software.
CANsmart's four circuits are pre-programmed to independently connect and control two sets of DENALI lights, a SoundBomb horn and the B6 auxiliary brake light.
Gen II: more features, more power, more versatility
Unlike the Gen I CANsmart, all four circuits of the Gen II can provide a full 10 amps of continuous power, and each circuit can be configured to run any type of accessory. Maximum power draw for the entire unit remains at 30 A continuous. The Gen II also features two new auxiliary light settings. You can now modulate the auxiliary lights for increased visibility and set the left and right side lights to cancel independently when you activate the corresponding turn signal.
Characteristics
High/Low Sync: Sets the auxiliary lights to cycle between a programmable high/low setting with the factory high beam switch.
ON/OFF and Dimming: Independently control two sets of ON/OFF lights and change the intensity level (for both day and night) directly from the vehicle's original switches.
Modulated Lights: Set the auxiliary lights to modulate to increase your visibility to other drivers.
Flash to Pass: Need to get someone's attention? Press the high beam switch three times and the auxiliary lights will flash three times quickly.
Cancel with turn signal: This function cancels the corresponding auxiliary light when the turn signal turns on, preventing the powerful auxiliary lights from overpowering the signal.
Hazard Reverse Flashing - This feature causes the auxiliary lights to flash in reverse to the hazard lights, increasing visibility during roadside emergencies.
Plug & Play Horn Installation: Quickly and easily connect high-powered aftermarket horns like our SoundBomb™ without having to add additional wiring or relays.
Horn Strobe: With this feature selected, the CANsmart™ software will automatically flash the auxiliary lights when you sound the horn. This feature works whether you have the factory horn or SoundBomb™ horn installed.
Deceleration-Activated “Smart Brake” Technology – CANsmart™ reads vehicle speed in real time to activate the brake light during deceleration before you even touch the brake. You can adjust the sensitivity and minimum speed at which the intelligent braking function will activate.
Flashing Brake Pattern - CANsmart™ provides four different flashing patterns that make our super bright auxiliary brake lights visible even to drivers behind you. You can set the auxiliary brake lights to flash only under heavy braking, flash continuously when the brake is applied, or flash four times rapidly and then remain solid (legal flashing rate in California).
Circuit Function Selector - The Circuit Function Selector in the CANsmart software will allow you to run any accessory of your choice on any of the four circuits. Click a circuit icon to open the drop-down menu and select from the list of available circuit functions.
Switched Power Source - CANsmart™ provides a universal "accessory" option that simply provides clean, switched 12V power. This means that whatever accessories you connect to this circuit will turn on and off with the ignition.
Delayed Timeout - You can also set accessories on this circuit to have a delayed timeout. This will keep them powered for up to 30 seconds after you turn off the bike.
Onboard Power: The "accessory" circuit option is ideal for powering your GPS, phone, heated gear, or any other electronic device.
