Lightweight and durable, the Alpinestars Missile Tech MTB helmet was designed specifically for downhill. Featuring 22 openings for maximum airflow and ventilation, the Downhill Missile Tech helmet is equipped with MIPS to mitigate the causes of brain injuries, such as concussion. Other design features include Emergency Release System (ERS) padding for quick and safe extraction in an emergency, patented visor release system, a removable chin vent for improved airflow and easy cleaning, hydration kit compatibility, a safety lock D-ring and removable and washable antibacterial liner with Polygiene, which is integrated into the fabric to fight odors.

The outer shell is constructed using a blend of aramid fiber and glass fiber for strength and lightness.

The smooth profile is slim and lacks external features that could act as a load point in the event of an impact.

The surface curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing for more efficient deflection and transfer to protect the rider's head.
